The Ranger is a dream on fast flowy terrain - fantastic on our local trails. But the frame design with CBF suspension makes it a capable bike on much chunkier terrain where most would ride a longer travel trail bike. The V2 frame has been significantly stiffened in the rear end, resulting in a noticeable improvement that provides better stiffness for climbing, cornering, and power delivery, while also shedding weight from the V1 frame design. Revel made a great bike much better with the V2! We can honestly say this performance improvement allows the Ranger to be a highly competitive XC Race bike using the right wheels and components. We'd recommend Fox Factory or RockShox Ultimate suspension, XO or XX SRAM Ealge AXS Transmission drivetrain, and ultralight BERD Spokes Wheelsets.
